we were so filled with joy,
our gift from God,
our sweet, little boy.
We felt you grow and move around,
little kicks of love
felt like heaven above.
The thought never crossed our minds,
That the day which was supposed to be the happiest ever,
Could see us pleading God for a miracle.
Just so that we could have a few seconds with you.
We didn't even hear you cry,
Or even see you move a limb.
I felt your pulse, and that was the goodbye pulse.
With tears in my eyes, I gazed at your pretty, little, innocent face.
My heart filled with disbelief.
You are now our little angel
in God's loving arms,
where you will be safe and sound
and nothing can do you harm.
Our love will grow stronger
everyday as we go on,
you will be our son forever
as precious and innocent as ever.
